Colonel Bill Spencer, United States Air Force, Retired, is most recently affiliate faculty in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies for Colorado Christian University. The 2014 Outstanding Faculty of the Year for CCU’s Business and Technology Division, he previously served for nearly eight years as an advocate for the family at Focus on the Family/CitizenLink, and as a social science teacher at a charter school in Monument, Colorado.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, he graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Affairs, American Politics, from the United States Air Force Academy. He spent nearly 29 years on active duty as a Command Pilot flying reconnaissance jets as well as other command and staff positions, including a successful tour as publisher and editor of the professional journal of the US Air Force (now, Air & Space Operations Review).
He holds a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, and a Master of Public Administration degree in Manpower Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California.
In June, he and his wife Kathleen celebrated forty-seven years of marriage. They have four wonderful children, a delightful son-in-law and beautiful daughter-in-law. And, three small humans in the world call him Grandpa!
